Plastic Molding Plant
Problem
The plastic molding plant used a desiccant wheel dehumidifier to control the humidity, consuming considerable amounts of electricity and gas which resulted in very high energy costs. The plant needed a solution to significantly decrease the energy consumption and operational costs of the dehumidification and cooling systems.
Solution
Advantix Systems installed 5 DuCool DT units: 3 DT units in parallel in a production hall (557,470 cubic feet) and 2 DT units in parallel in a storage room (805,300 cubic feet).
As a result, the Plant now maintains indoor conditions of 24 ⁰C (75.2 ⁰F), 25% Relative Humidity all year while significantly reducing energy costs.
